Patricia A. Wente has more than 30 years of experience in leading and driving both forprofit and not-for-profit organizations. This seasoned business development background and executive leadership in marketing, broadcasting, events, and development bring strategic engagement efforts to life for client companies. She is known for identifying a company's needs and effectively linking local, regional and national talent to meet them. Wente is a dynamic goal-oriented leader with demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire senior teams to develop and implement strategy and to achieve maximum results. She has an extensive background in public broadcasting, managing radio stations in small, medium and large markets and serving regional and national organizations.

Wente currently serves as senior vice president of business solutions at Group|720, a strategic consulting firm and subsidiary of Creative Producers Group + Companies (CPG + Cos). In this role, she focuses on new business solutions, corporate community relations and strategic engagement with new and existing clients within the CPG + Cos enterprise, comprised of experiential marketing and event production company Creative Producers Group, brand strategy and creative agency UPBrand Collaborative, and online video production agency Vidzu.

Prior to joining Group|720, Wente served as owner and president of her St. Louis consulting firm, The Wente Group, primarily concentrating on individual and corporate development strategy within the nonprofit arena. Her superlative relationship-building skills were used to strategize, engage and cultivate the development of a large base of affluent donors within a community. She has maintained cultural and political sensitivity, enabling commitment from diverse population segments. The Wente Group's client base included companies such as Centene Corporation, The Radio Arts Foundation, Maryville University, Saint Louis University, WNYC Public Radio, Craft Alliance, KUVO and the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. She has directed, supervised or directly participated in generating more than $100 million in development revenue for non-profit institutions.

Wente honed her skills and abilities in strategic engagement through a progression of positions in public broadcasting. She was the manager of Station Grant Programs at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in Washington D.C. for both public radio and television stations. She managed public radio stations in Wichita, Kansas; Norman, Oklahoma and St. Louis, Missouri. In St. Louis, Wente lead that station from a negative budget to a $7 million first-class operation. Membership revenue increased 685 percent, corporate underwriting increased 846 percent to break into the seven figures, and the enrollment of those using the service more than doubled to 196,000. Staffing more than tripled to accommodate the growth of what is now one of top ten most listened-to public radio news organizations in the country.


Wente served on the Board of Directors of National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Broadcast Managers Association, and was also a member of the Public Radio Leadership Forum. She is the past President of Public Radio in Mid America, and represented public radio in the Midwest at the national level on the NPR Board of Directors. She serves on a host of St. Louis civic boards and committees for press, the arts and health

. Wente has been recognized for her contributions to her profession and to her communities. She received two national awards including the Public Broadcast Management Association's Award of Excellence and Public Radio Regional Organization's "Potholder" Award. The St. Louis Business Journal namedWente one of 2007's "Most Influential" and one of 2004's "Most Influential Business Women." She received a YWCA Special Leader Award in 2003.

Wente earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in Communication from the University of Illinois-Springfield.
